Small Obstacle and Target Detection from Optic Flow Fields
Insects are able to identify and track mates and prey in a wide range of conditions, i
ncluding large background motions from the natural environments and against clear skies.
This research seeks to understand and model this ability and apply the same capability for
small object detection on robotic vehicles.
